Roy B Artigas was born in Veracruz Mexico in 1951 with his two sisters Vicky and
Martha and brother Rick . Roy loved the Brooklyn Dodgers when they played at
Ebbets field New York 1912-1957. He and his friends Jesse Jimenez, Duran
Kennedy, would put a team together and play ball, but it wasn't the Dodgers whose
name the team would use, It was another name that was given to them "BUMS."
Roy would keep the name with him and in 1987 The Sun Valley Park Bums
organization started. The club would provide youngster with a positive and safe
environment playing baseball and having fun. Over the past 20 years thousand of
children have participated in this well respected program consisting of kids with
very diverse family backgrounds. The Bums have won 5 National Championships
and 5 runner ups, this does not include the thousand games and tournments they
have won in across the United States and other countries. Check their teams web
