Since leaving Whittier H.S. baseball in 2006, Bill is now coaching at Citrus Community College. Bill left Whittier
Baseball to fullfill his dream of coaching at the college level. He left Whittier Baseball as a force with which to be
reckoned. His teams were back-to-back Del Rio League champions in 2003 and 2004. The 2004 team was
undefeated in league which had never been accomplished by any other Del Rio League champion. He won 100
games at Whittier and was Coach of the year in 2003. Born in Buffalo, New York he and his family moved to
California in 1953, but his roots are still in New York by being an avid New York Yankee fan. As he looks back on
all he has accomplished: 1,065 wins 448 losses his proudest moment was his 1970 Colt League World champions
(20-0) were the first youth team to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Former players such
as: Rob Wilfong, Ed Putman, Michael Young, Corey Lidle, Jason Giambi, Aaron Rowand, Aaron Small all
played travel ball with Bill.
Bill would like to be remembered as a great teacher/coach and a trustworthy friend. Since never having a son of
his own, he considers all those who have played for him as his sons. Bill gives private lessons (see Clinics)
